We harvested our potatoes this week and were delighted with the crop. Unfortunately, our carrots and parsnips didn’t grow very well this year. However, we were able to substitute some leeks and the senior pupils enjoyed making leek and potato soup. There was a great smell of cooking one morning and by lunchtime everyone was eager to taste the soup. It’s great to reap the rewards of the garden and see how some vegetables grow from sowing to harvest.
